🚀 Igniting the Curiosity of Future Developers!
Recently, I had the opportunity to be a guest speaker and interviewee for an in-depth sharing session with the batch '22 students from Universitas Pamulang. This session happened thanks to a referral from my colleague, Ziddan Arya Nugraha, who entrusted me with this exploration task.
In this session, we thoroughly discussed Website Security & Data Privacy. I shared real-world insights based on the practices at my current company, as well as comparisons from my experiences at several previous companies.
But there was one thing that deeply impressed me about this group: Their curiosity is massive!
After the formal list of questions was answered, the discussion actually became much more lively. They threw in a lot of out-of-the-box questions outside their main list. It felt like the core essence of the entire interview was born right at the end—a truly insightful chat about the realities, challenges, and industry dynamics in the real developer world.
☕ A Heartwarming Plot Twist
There is a funny yet touching story behind the scenes. Coincidentally, my house in Depok is currently affected by a local government road-widening project, which ended up cutting my internet fiber optic cable. As a result, I had to survive using cellular data throughout the entire Google Meet session, haha!
Unexpectedly, after the session ended, these students took the initiative to buy me a cellular data package as a token of appreciation. Thank God, it was a small surprise that truly touched my heart.
For me personally, being able to help guide, open new perspectives, and provide industry insights to future talents brings its own kind of satisfaction. As a fellow student at Universitas Pancasila, seeing this burning passion for learning makes me even more optimistic about the future of our tech ecosystem.
